This site is dedicated to the compassionate, generous people and organizations responsible for saving The Division Street Palm and the supporters who are concerned with the continued well being of the tree.

The Division Street Palm grew from sapling to maturity on a steep slope near the SW corner of the former Division Street bridge over Texas Highway 360 in Arlington. The tree is classified as Washingtonia Filfera commonly known as a California Fan Palm. The tree grew to massive size for decades surviving events at this busy intersection. On Dec. 11, 2009 a group of generous volunteers moved the tree from the Arlington location to a new home at the Rosemeade Rainforest Pool in Carrollton, Tx. The goal of this site is to recognize these contributors and provide information that might be useful to others contemplating a move of a large tree.
